Exelon promotes Annette Martinez as new Communications VP of ComEd

Annette Martínez was appointed as new communications Vice President of ComEd.

Exelon’s announcement is part of a series of key appointments in the change of board leaders of the communications team, which will help drive greater engagement across internal and external audiences and build brand awareness.

Martinez was promoted from ComEd Director of Communications and in her new role will oversee all of ComEd Communications. A 20-year communications veteran, her accomplishments include successful outreach pertaining to the critically important Future Energy Jobs Act in Illinois and engaging media and other stakeholders on priority ComEd business issues.P

Prior to joining ComEd, she was the Director of External Relations for AGL Resources, the nation’s largest natural gas-only distributor and also served as the Director of Communications for Nicor Gas. Martinez also was an Assistant Commissioner of Communications for the Chicago Department of Aviation, where she led all communication initiatives for Midway and O’Hare international airports.
