Director of Social Emergency Medicine, Associate Professor

Dr. Marina Del Rios is director of social emergency medicine and tenured associate professor in emergency medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. She has close to 10 years of experience conducting research in resuscitation science, population health, and health disparities. 

Outside of her clinical, research, and teaching responsibilities, she is a volunteer for multiple health and community service agencies. She is a founding member of the Illinois Heart Rescue Project, a statewide quality improvement project with the mission to ensure that every victim of cardiac arrest receives evidence-based care in the field and in the hospital.
