Deisy Lopez is a finance professional with a strong background in financial management and strategic planning. Recently promoted to Senior Finance Manager at Abbott, she supports one of the company’s largest divisions, Core Diagnostics. This division plays a key role in delivering advanced diagnostic solutions that are essential for patient care and healthcare decision-making. Previously, she supported Abbott’s Molecular Diagnostics division as a Global Finance Manager in charge of global financial consolidations, organic sales growth forecasting for the division, and process improvement projects across the global regions.

Before this role, she served as the Finance Manager for North America Middle Mile Transportation at Amazon. In this position, she developed financial forecast models for a $2 billion transportation technology business and led efforts to align leadership stakeholders and their teams, resulting in $800 million in cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Deisy Lopez also held the role of Commercial Finance Supervisor for Infectious Diseases in Developed Markets U.S. at Abbott, where financial models were created to drive strategic changes in distribution contracts, recovering $3.7 million in disputed payments. Additionally, she played a crucial role in the commercialization of one of the first at-home COVID-19 tests, ensuring broader access to diagnostics during a critical time in history. Beyond professional accomplishments, she is passionate about community involvement and mentorship. 

A former member of the ALPFA Chicago board, she played an active role in organizing events and supporting student affairs. Currently, she serves as a coach for One Million Degrees, mentoring students to help them reach their academic and professional goals. Since 2018, she has also been part of a core team at Abbott focused on recruiting and retaining diverse talent within the finance organization. More recently, she took on a leadership role managing Abbott’s partnership with ALPFA at both national and local levels.
