Latinos for Education Aspiring Latino Leaders Fellow. Crystal Arrizon has 11+ years of experience spanning education, community organizing, program design, and strategic leadership. She’s held roles from teacher to nonprofit leader, managing grants, partnerships, and advocacy efforts focused on equity, family leadership, and college/career readiness.

A first-gen grad and daughter of Mexican immigrants, she leads with her Latinx identity to disrupt inequitable systems. From teaching in the borderlands to running parent advocacy programs, she builds culturally sustaining spaces that elevate community leadership and equity. She supported 15 South San Francisco parent leaders in a successful campaign for a new math curriculum.

Through Padres Unidos, she facilitated advocacy training, redesigned meetings, and built momentum for community-led change, resulting in a unanimous board vote.
