Arnold Castro Jr. is a bilingual professional, proudly native to Chicago, with extensive experience in audit and advisory. As a first-generation Mexican college graduate, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and holds the prestigious Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation. He is also in the process of obtaining his Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification, having successfully completed two out of three parts. With a strong background in internal controls, risk assessment, and financial reporting, Arnold has contributed significantly to leading organizations such as Blue Cross Blue Shield (HCSC), Ernst & Young (EY), Charles Schwab, TransUnion, and Dell/Boomi.

In his current role as the Audit & SOX Leader at Boomi, Arnold oversees a team of staff and consultants, managing the planning, execution, and reporting of SOX and operational audits. He reports directly to the Chief Audit Executive (CAE), ensuring compliance and efficiency in financial operations. Additionally, he serves as a board member for the Chicago Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), reinforcing his dedication to upholding ethical business practices.

Arnold is also passionate about diversity and inclusion. He has actively contributed as a board member for the Hispanic/Latin ERG at TransUnion and the nonprofit Greenwood Project. Currently, he serves in the same capacity at Boomi, using his leadership to organize impactful events and professional development opportunities. Beyond his corporate achievements, he is committed to giving back. After work, he volunteers at nonprofit boxing clubs, mentoring youth to stay off the streets while instilling discipline and self-confidence. As both a coach and mentor, he encourages young people to aim high inside and outside the ring.

In his free time, Arnold enjoys training in boxing for his next match, working on DIY projects on his properties, and traveling – having explored over 45 countries!
