Alexander Calderon is a first-generation Chicago native leveraging over two decades of experience as a seasoned IT professional and business leader. His passion for technology began early when he started taking apart and rebuilding electronics at home, which marked the beginning of his lifelong career in technology. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from Northeastern Illinois University, solidifying his technical and business acumen.

As the Co-Founder and CEO of Dándole Tech, a non-profit dedicated to providing technology and education to black and brown students in underserved communities of Chicago, Alex leads efforts to bridge the digital divide. Under his leadership, the organization offers hands-on training, mentorship, and career guidance to help youth develop technical skills and gain the confidence to pursue careers in the tech industry. Through these initiatives, Dándole Tech has expanded accessibility not only for students in Chicago but also for young people around the world, fostering opportunities for success in the digital economy.

In addition to his work at Dándole Tech, Alex serves as a Chicago City Host for Latinx MBA, an organization that supports Latinx professionals through networking, career development, and leadership opportunities. His commitment to mentorship and education reflects his guiding principle: “If you’re in a position to help someone, help them. God may be answering that person’s prayers through you.”
