Creating a future rooted in the past

Alan Radevski

Age: 35

Title: Sales Manager

Organization: CDW

Alan Radevski looks to his past and uses it as motivation. He was born in Chicago and grew up in the Chicagoland area, but his mother was born and raised in Cuernavaca, Mexico. She and her four sisters grew up poor and without a father.

Radevski’s abuelita persevered and worked hard to provide for her daughters. When they came to Chicago in the early 1980’s, his mother used that perseverance she had learned and went to college at the University of Illinois Chicago where she earned a degree in chemical engineering. The road his mother took to get to where she is today motivates Radevski to succeed.

His father was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after his grandfather immigrated to Argentina from Macedonia. His grandfather’s journey motivates Radevski to succeed. He was the first person in his family born in the United States.

Radevski believes himself lucky to have worked for CDW for 11 years. The culture of diversity at CDW has motivated him each day to be the best that he can be. He is currently a sales manager in the healthcare academy segment and is a proud member of the Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Achievement, a business resource group where he serves on the professional development committee and as Director of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Radevski is a proud husband to Ashley and a proud father to Landon and Payton. Both motivate him to grow and get better every day. Providing mentorship and guidance to others in the Latino community motivates him. He is a mentor for a local community organization, The Leadershop.

While his past motivates him, his future inspires him. He is inspired to be the best husband and father he can be, to develop his community, to continue his leadership journey at CDW, to leave an impact as his family has done for each other.

Words of wisdom: Motivated by the past, inspired by the future.
