Adan Ramirez, a Chicago native from Little Village, has built an impressive legal career through resilience, dedication, and a strong commitment to his community. After earning his degree from the University of Iowa and his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, he began his professional journey by representing prominent companies as a young associate. His early involvement with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), particularly in its diversity program, helped open doors for his transition to in-house counsel, a role he now excels in at KONE.

As Associate Operations Counsel at KONE, a global leader in elevators and escalators with operations in more than 60 countries, Adan provides critical legal and business advice on a wide range of issues. These include handling contract disputes, addressing claims for new equipment, and managing the legal complexities of modernization and service lines.

In addition, Adan supports KONE’s finance, marketing, collections, sourcing, and business development teams, ensuring seamless alignment across various organizational functions. His ability to navigate these complex areas ensures KONE  protected from legal risks and operationally efficient on a national scale.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Adan is deeply committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal field. He actively participates in the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) and the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI), working to elevate Latin representation within the legal profession. Looking toward the future, Adan is focused on further developing his expertise with the goal of becoming a general counsel. His dedication to providing top-tier legal advice and being a trusted business partner to his clients is a testament to his exceptional capabilities and drive.
