Jesús Ernesto Peña believes his main role is in making dreams come true. As a native of Mexico, Peña is passionate about serving the Hispanic community, particularly when it comes to the complex topic of immigration.
A graduate of the University of Houston, Peña started his professional career at Lopez Negrete Communications which claims to be the nation’s largest independent, Hispanic-owned and operated full-service advertising and marketing services agency.
He further developed his career at Univision Communications, the leading Hispanic media company in the nation, where he believes life guided him to find ways to give back to the community.
In 2017 Peña established the Dreamer Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to Dreamers. Dreamers are the children of immigrants who were brought to the US when they were very young. They qualify for a work permit under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) executive order, which President Barack Obama issued in June, 2012.
Currently Peña resides in Chicago where he works for Delta Air Lines and Aeroméxico. The two carriers operate the largest transborder airline alliance between Mexico and the United States. His leadership skills and international expertise are helping to steer the U.S Hispanic market to new levels of growth, while he continues to give back to the Dreamers.
