Omar Duque has been a visionary leader as president and CEO of the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, expanding IHCC services to best support 21st-century business models and usher long-time members into the technology age. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and the role entrepreneurship plays in building community and in helping create a better world. He helped found the Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship and ENTERpreneur, a summer youth entrepreneurship program for Chicago-area high-school students. And through a new incubator program jointly offered by IHCC and 1871, Duque hopes to make Chicago the go-to city for Latino-run tech start-ups, bringing innovative entrepreneurs from around the world.
