Javier Palomarez named 2016 El Amigo de Negocios Now

Javier Palomarez, president and CEO of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and longtime friend of Negocios Now, is the 2016 recipient of El Amigo de Negocios Now Award. Palomarez will be recognized at the third annual Who’s Who in Hispanic Chicago gala event, to be held this July 8 at the Chicago Cultural Center.

A pioneer in multicultural marketing, Palomarez has more than two decades of corporate experience and entrepreneurial insight in companies such as Allstate, Sprint, and Bank of America, where he served as senior vice president of multicultural marketing.

His opinions and points of view have appeared in leading media outlets including ABC, Al Jazeera, Business Week, CNN, Dallas Morning News, Fox, MSNBC, NBC, Reuters, Telemundo, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Time, Univision, USA Today, and many others.

Palomarez was appointed to the National Advisory Council on Minority Business at the Department of Commerce, and he serves on the FCC Federal Advisory Committee, the Comcast NBCUniversal Diversity Advisory Council, the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Advisory Board, the State Farm Bank CRA Advisory Council, and the National 4-H Council Board of Trustees. He also serves on the Senate Task Force on Corporate Diversity and Inclusion.

As the leader of the USHCC, Palomarez actively promotes the economic growth, development and interests of more than 4.1 million Hispanic-owned businesses that, combined, contribute more than $661 billion to the American economy every year. The USHCC also advocates on behalf of 259 major American corporations and serves as the umbrella organization for more than 200 local chambers and business associations nationwide.
