The City of Chicago was named the nation’s top tech hot spot of the future, according to a survey by Modis released today.

The survey found that Chicago leads the nation’s housing markets set to be transformed by technology, and that the city is likely to attract younger professionals who have worked in technology 5 years or less. Chicago is followed by Houston, Boston, Denver and Philadelphia.

“For three years Chicago has led the nation in corporate relocations, and this survey shows that talent is following. Chicago is a global hub for technology and a place where both companies and their employees can thrive, said Rahm Emanuel, in a statement.  By investing in our fundamental strengths we are ensuring this progress continues for generations to come”.
